What is a TestFlight public link?
A TestFlight public link is an invitation URL for one external group that anyone who has it can use to join, up to a tester limit you choose.
A public link is the other way to invite external testers: instead of typing email addresses, you share one URL on a website, in a chat or on social media, and people join the group by opening it in TestFlight.
Apple sets it up per group: open the external group in App Store Connect, go to its Testers tab and choose Create Public Link. You then choose Open to Anyone or Filter by Criteria, which admits only testers whose device and OS version match what you set. A tester limit, from 1 to 10,000, caps how many people can join through the link. You can change the criteria or the limit later, or turn the link off.
Two things Apple points out: anyone can pass the link on, so people you never invited can join, and testers who join by link show as anonymous in App Store Connect, with their installs, sessions and crashes but no name or email. The group’s builds still go through Beta App Review first.
In VibeView. VibeView doesn’t create public links: make one in App Store Connect under TestFlight → the external group → Testers → Create Public Link. Every build VibeView sends to that group reaches the people who joined by link once Apple approves it. See Done in the store’s console. To show an iPhone app in a browser without an install, a share link opens a simulator build on a live device.
